Goal Setting Series: Part #4

Sooo, we all know the “New Year, New Year” rhetoric is bullshit. Plus, it seems like all we hear about this time of year are “goals” that have roots in toxic diet and weight loss culture. (No, thank you!)

The start of the year is a natural time to honor the year behind us and to think about what we want to accomplish in the year to come. . .as long as we can focus on what’s actually going to make us happy and healthy in the new year.

Cake is creating a body positive & fat positive, intersectional feminist, as-inclusive-as-possible space for goal setting. We’ll meet Tuesdays in January (starting on Jan 9th) to focus on goal setting free from discussions of weight or diets.

Personal reflection activities & group discussion will be lead by Cat who absolutely adores talking goals/dreams/plans (almost as much as she hates hearing about your diet).

This is a four part series! Come to all four or just pop in to one or two. Because space (and seating!) are limited at the shop, please actually RSVP here: https://goo.gl/forms/72e6cUxys5v3A8AP2
There's no cost to join us!

Here’s our game plan. . .

January 9th:
Honoring 2017 accomplishments & reflecting on what got in the way of goals we didn’t meet in years previous.

January 16th:
Thinking big picture! What kind of person do you want to be? What type of things do you want to experience throughout your lifetime?

January 23rd:
Goals that will set you up for success. How to develop goals that are do-able! (Yes, we’re going to use the cheesy but effective SMART goal system.)

January 30th:
Strategies for staying motivated and excited to pursue your goals/dreams/plans throughout the year.
