Cake After Dark: Film Screening & Plus-Size Intimates Pop-Up
Based on the excitement around last spring’s lingerie event, we’re bring it back on an even larger scale! Not only will you have the chance to shop lingerie and intimate fashions, we’ll be screening a short form documentary we’re creating around fashion, body confidence, and plus-size folks feeling sexy in our skin. We’re thrilled to bring this event to you during this fall’s Fashion Week Minnesota.
Thursday, September 27th at Cake Plus-Size Resale (& neighboring space)
6:30 - 7:30 VIP Shopping Hour
7:30 - 10PM Lingerie & Intimates Pop-up at Cake
8PM - Film Screening with Q&A to follow
Tickets are $12 for entrance to both the pop-up and screening (happening simultaneously).
VIP tickets are $22 and come with access to the VIP shopping hour, reserved seating at the screening, and a complimentary drink. (VIP tickets are limited!)
This event takes place at Cake Plus-Size Resale & a neighboring space (two doors down). Shopping will take place at Cake while the screening, photos, refreshments and mingling will take place next door (at 5157 Bloomington Ave). Both spaces will be open simultaneously.
Lingerie & Intimates
This curated shopping event is focused on plus-size lingerie, intimates and accessories. This includes: bras, some bra & panty sets, nighties, teddies, bustiers, some corsets, pj’s (all types!), and accessories. We’ll be sure to share lots of item previews here and on other forms of social media leading up to the event.
Short Form Documentary Screening
Cake Plus-Size Resale is putting together a short form documentary - a collection of interviews of a diverse group of plus-size individuals discussing body confidence, fashion, and feeling sexy in our own skin. In collaboration with AriesFireBomb, Cake highlights plus-size/curvy/husky/fat voices in this project that will be shown for the first time at this event! As the event draws closer, stay tuned for previews and more info about this project! We can’t wait to share it with you for the first time on September 27th!
